Last full clear was 1,878 days ago as of November 17, 2009.

Light from our sun has been to Proxima Centauri since then and just last month passed Rigel (Alpha Centauri).  We're now headed toward Barnard's Star and are 85.68% of the way there.  Ironically, we'll get there on September 27, 2010.

Updated to refine accuracy and scope of the rules agreement.  I've also added a dedicated Etiquette section to cover the expectations regarding posting.
