If this post if found to be offensive then by all means delete it.  But I've come to realize that all our efforts (by our efforts i mean the whole tribes modding community) keep this game alive and kicking.

We're working on a completely new mod.  It's an adaptation of a Steam game that a few of us play called Zombie Survival.  We've been planning to try and bring it over to Tribes for a few months now, but I've been busy with traveling and everyone that was in the project was either too busy or didn't know where to start.  Well, about 2 weeks ago we began on the project and it's safe to say that the mod is about 85% done.  It's actually playable now, but we're working on incorporating a ranking system and ironing out a few bugs before the release.  We have a moddb page and as always you can find more info at http://www.sinbot.net.  This mod is fun, fresh, and exciting.  So far everyone that's been beta testing it has fallen in love with it and I hope the community as a whole accepts it the same.  Right now we're only hosting a 5 player server until it's done, but if you look on http://www.sinbot.net you can find the files you need to test it with us.  You will need the 1.30 Tribes exe to play on the server which is included in the zip file along with instructions.  Hope to see some of you in there.

This is not an attempt to steal anyone away from TRPG.  It's just another mod that hopefully will keep Tribes around a little longer.

Reminds me of Tribes 2 Combat Construction. One mode incorporated a Zombie survival mode. You build your fortress, complete with auto-turrets and gates and everything, and then Zombies attack from the rim. These aren't your regular slow moving zombies though; these guys are fast and furious. They even had flying dog zombies that attacked you from the sky (they'd pick you up, fly high into the air and then drop you to your death).

The first time I played it was intense; if you get bitten by a zombie, you slowly start to turn into one. Then you switch teams and go after humans. Last man standing wins (or until time runs out). It was lots of fun. Be sure to give us a heads up when the mod's complete, because I'd really like to join you for a game...or ten.

The mod is now being hosted on my main server.  I've set it up as a 20 slot server for now.  We're still doing some updates but it's playable.  Download the updated files at http://www.sinbot.net and hop on and check it out.
