I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for
peace. So, here's one plan:
1) The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their
affairs, past & present. We will promise never to "interfere" again.
2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with
Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We
would station troops at our borders. No more sneaking through holes in the fence.
3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave.
We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be
gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of who or where they are.
France would welcome them.
4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 day
visits unless given a special permit. No one from a terrorist nation would
be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself, don't hide
here. Asylum would not ever be available to anyone. We don't need any more
cab drivers.
5) No "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't
attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home, baby.
6) The US will make a strong effort to become self sufficient energy wise.
This will include developing non polluting sources of energy but will
require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou
will have to cope for a while.
7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for
their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else.
If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere". They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain,
cement or whatever they need. Besides, most of what we give them gets "lost" or is taken by their army. The people who need it most get very little, anyway.
9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an island some place. We don't need the
spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, it would make a good homeless
shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.
9b) Use the buildings as replacement for the twin towers.
10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can
call us "Ugly Americans" any longer.

One needs to consider that a nation can destroy itself without our help. In black hawk down, untethered illegal actions of a leader led to the cut off of food to the people by a dictator, leading to mass starvation and death amongst the civilians.
Another example is Germany post WWI and post WWII. Because we did not look into the affairs of the german people and the fact that the League of Nations had no military power behind it, The Axis powers were able to take as they pleased until we bailed Europe out.

The reason France and Britain didn't do anything right away, because Hitler was making demands to get back the land Germany lost after WW1
They didn't want to start a fight with Hitler, because they were afrade of a war.. They wanted to avoid one at all costs.

This reflects what we have today. Although we were not directly attacked by Iraq, there is evidence that the counries leaders have contacts to Al-Quida. We have a unstable world government association (UN) that doesnt really back us.
After the experiences our country has been through, Im sure that we were in no way going to allow such a risk as to allow these tyrannical leaders to convince their people that suicide bombing americans is good for much longer.

Exactly what are you trying to say with the first sentence? It sounds a lot like you're saying that without the assistance of the US, nations destroy themselves.
And, you're forgetting that what happened in Black Hawk Down had little to no affect on Aidid. He was only removed from power four years later when he was wounded and killed in a street battle.

Ok, they failed to see the threat that Suddam is a highly dangerous leader that most likely would carry out attacks on the US and its allies. I mean, cmon, we now have evidence linking them with Al Quida.
Oh, and sorry, it isnt true that without the prescense of US gvmt that nations destroy themselves. I mean to say that "some countries" would probably be in much worse shape without the aid of the US military.

I think that it was funny how France and Germany and Russia denied helping us in the war, yet they supplied the Iraqi military with armored vehicles and airplanes.
I don't think oil is the main thing, but it could be a high factor. Hell, I am actually glad someone else besides Saddam is selling oil and making tons of money used just for terrorising any country he feels. But I think that it is a good think for the Iraqi people that wanted to be free.

We cut our supplies from Japan because they attacked China, which at the time was a defenseless country. Japan needed resources, so they attacked Pearl Harbor so they could get all the resources they needed from the pacific without worry.
Hitler wasn't afrade of Russia.. Hell, he kept his troops there through 2 winters, doing nothing but fighting.. IN SUMMER CLOTHING.
Hitler killed himself when a russian tank was spotted at the gates of Berlin.
You are right.. Russia did more of the actual fighting on German soil because they didn't have to cross several conquored countries first.
D-Day was the turn of the war.. I don't give a malarkey what you think. If we hadn't launched that armada, Hitler would have still taken on Russia at full force, taking it over.
The US HELPED the Jews. The Russians just killed them because of useless weight. All Stalin wanted to do is get his land back, and get Hitler for breaking the non-aggresional pact.
Trust me, if it wasn't for the US sending the supplys over to Britain and Japan bombing Pearl Harbor, Hitler would probably have control over the world.

everything i ever knew about the wars in history i learned in school. every single bit of information was from a textbook. which doesnt make americans stupid or wrong, it just means we believe what we're taught in history class. you have to realize 95% of the people who post on these forums are young, and still go to school. what they have opinions about are what they read and see and immitate in life. that doesnt mean all americans are incorrect about history.

I have infact read the autobiography of Hitler, I have read 2 other biographies. I have read about the battle strategies used in every large battle. I have also read Britain's side, France's side and Poland's side. I was told not to read any of these mind you.
My grandfather was in Pearl Harbor when it was bombed. He was an officer aboard a navy ship. I have also been there to see the memorial.

some f the things i have heard and seen about what went on over there it is very wrong..
