As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

I, howerver wouldn't believe it unless I heard it from other news sources..

99.7% hoax?

I read every agreement in the full before I signed them, and read all of the updates.  It doesn't say any thing of the sort that this "ex-employee" is claiming.

Besides... I have sent money with paypal to people I considered "shady" selelrs on e-bay several times and have yet to have my account "siezed" or see their accounts "siezed".

I don't think this siezure problem logically probable at this point.

Though it is completely possible for scammers to abuse PayPal, I have yet to be scammed by a user on there.

It looks like many of these people are blaming PayPal for getting scammed by some shady characters.  Oh well... :-p

Of course you aren't going to be told they'll screw you in their ToS.

There are a number of articles about Pay-Pal being dirty.  The most recent that I know of being the $150k fine they had to pay to New York for these exact same things.

Contrary to the arguements presented on that page, I knew a guy who bought 4 PS2's when the big craze to sell them for thousands of dollars happened, who then re-sold them through e-bay and was payed through pay-pal.  He did have to spend quite a LOT of time talking to payPal to verify he was in fact jipped by some one he did not know and he was not trying to defraud PayPal.  Once he gave evidence of the over seas payment and the IP addresses of the buyers, he was paid back in full by payPal for his loss on two sales, for the ammount of each sale.

Again, I say that I know no one who has had trouble with the service itself if they persue the issue to the fullest.  The Terms of Service give you the option to persue problems with pay pal and after giving proof of your circumstance, you are awarded the funds back.  It looks like payPal is trying to protect itself from those who would scam them.

Anyway... at this point it appears to be a site dedicated to the collection of rumors from people we don't know... not a very trustworthy source.

Been to that site before, about a year ago. Seemed pretty believable then, but I don't use PayPal, so... lol

I use paypal every single day. that's my form of bank. I practicaly pay for everything with my paypal credit card and I do ebay stuff alot too. I've never had a problem. well i've had one problem when I overdrew my account and the bank account set up to it was no longer.....they didnt like that too much. haha
