Plague.

We need a plague that sets the healrate to 0 of all effected players and it spreads by touch.  Maybe throw in a quest to find the cure a long with it, the reward being that the plague is cured.

Anyway... I'm at work and I'm supposed to have the pager, but the person with it hasn't shown up to hand it off yet... so I have nothing to do... bored!

I could probably come up with something like that, but paricle would take till christmas 2006 to put it on the server (no offense part).  Maybe when i get a server going, we'll try that idea cause i think it would go over well.

If LastWish does get access to uploading she may be able to modify the game by inserting the file... of course... we'd have to test it somehow first to make sure it would not kill the server...... dun dun dun!

You guys need to stop looking through my old files.  I helped an old friend do this same sort of idea in meltdown platinum.  It's actually a lot easier to code than you would think it is, only took me about a day to write the general part of it and then whoever is hosting has to tinker it into working with the rest of the mod.

So if you get stuck on any part of it, hit me up on aim or msn; I still probably know my way around tribes code.

You don't need to code it, all you have to do is make evil mum into a tribes character and she will automaticly have the plague! Just like in real life!

Evil why you allways think someone is copying you? It's been done in other mods before! Even TFC had i virus when you touched the "e"

annihilation mod had it except the didnt call it a virus, they called it herpes.

Well if you want to get technical I had the idea back before I had even played Oregon Trail (1991) to add such a thing to a video game.

The fact that it has been made is pretty cool, because now it has the opportunity to be added sooner, and you have probably worked out any minor issues it may have had.

If you'd deploy it to the forum for us to look at... that would be pretty cool!

Achromatos came up with a good idea for a spell called narcolepsy, which i made into one of my bot functions.  It would be usefule for thieves because they could put their victim to sleep and mug em.

a more powerful beam spell would be nice along with some more high level divine spells

I am more in favor of adding an ability to the quarter-staff which allows you to beat people over the head (knocks them out) if you attck their heads from behind, allowing you to mug them (and potentially anyone else near by the same fortune you would get.)  This ability would be automatic when used from behind and its chance of success would be based on your Steal skill.

If that were implemented, however, I would write the mug function out of the mod... or make it only useable on players that are #sleep, #meditate, #knockout (the theoretic name for the quarter staff hitting you on the back of the head.)
