Weapon Functions and Class-Specific Skills
« on: August 10, 2004 07:33 pm CDT »
Well, I was playing Perfect Dark (a FPS on the N64) and it occured to me- why can't weapons on here have double functions (And, also, need double skills.)

Examples:

Bows: Regular Arrows/Paralysis Arrows (Skills- Archery/Dodging)
Spears: Bashing people over the head (Skills- Pierce/Blud)
Spears: Throwing them at people (Skills- Archery/Piercing)

And for class-specific abilites, have it based off of remort level:

Examples:

Bard- #sing (uses an aura to take 1 coin per 15 seconds), #dance (1 per 10 seconds) and #insturment (1 per 5)

Mage- #light (same as Orb Of Luminance) #blind (gives target red screen and puts them in 3rd person) and #manadrain (duh!)

Ranger- #swim (allows underwater breath) #arrow (converts coins into arrows, depending on RL), and #blend (like hide, but only works on CPU)

Just a few ideas.
