Those apple switch ads...
« on: May 9, 2005 02:13 am CDT »
So I'm bored at 2:00AM, so I pull up some of those old apple switch ads.

Its funny how they lure people in, blowing a windows problem out of proportion and proclaiming the macs on a godly level.  Granted, windows has problems, but none of the problems that these people have seem like ANY of us forum members couldnt fix in less than 5 minutes.

Here are my favorites... the ones where I mutter forktard when I hear them jabber on...

http://pulsar.esm.psu.edu/Faculty/Gray/ ... r_m480.mov

http://pulsar.esm.psu.edu/Faculty/Gray/ ... o_m480.mov  (Windows user for over 15 years?!?!)

http://pulsar.esm.psu.edu/Faculty/Gray/ ... s_m480.mov  (the funniest in my opinion)

http://pulsar.esm.psu.edu/Faculty/Gray/ ... e_m480.mov  (hahahaha.  Funny how he says his has never crashed.  My neighbors G4's crash several times a day.)

http://pulsar.esm.psu.edu/Faculty/Gray/ ... s_m480.mov    (funny how the new OSX Tiger has been frustrating LAN administrators everywhere because of incompatabilities)

http://pulsar.esm.psu.edu/Faculty/Gray/ ... r_m480.mov

http://pulsar.esm.psu.edu/Faculty/Gray/ ... t_m480.mov

And last but definately not least:   http://www.roosterteeth.com/archive/dow ... hp/?id=499

I've hated macs ever since one scarred me as a child. I was in a computer store with my Mom when I came across my very first mac and tried to exit "windows" to get to the DOS prompt... of course, I couldn't find it. I said "mommy, mommy, where's DOS" and she told me macs didn't have DOS. :(

I hate macs. Yes, OS X too.

My biggest gripe about the mac is how difficult it is to switch between applications.  The Windows and Linux taskbars display every thing you are running, and you can switch easily (or alt tab if you are like me).

On a mac, its no wonder the sell those gigantic displays.  My neighbor who has a 25+ incher using an Apple G4 has one because he doesnt like to have a window on top of another!  Going full screen means that when you need to switch applications, you have to minimize, shrink, move, or completely close the application on top of it.  This is the only reason why apple is the worst multitasking machine ever.

Ellen Feiss is retarded.  The problem she described is impossible unless she forked it up herself.  And even then, the beeping wouldn't be realistic.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

Best thing about the apple store are the bags they put your merch in after you buy.  They are just plain cool.

Wonder how long it'll be til your 4G ipod batteries get less than an hour of juice.
