DNIRC Client v1.0.60213.0515p Alpha Release Discussion
« on: February 16, 2006 07:01 pm CST »

This is the first "public" alpha release of this software, code named "dunkle pucker".

Build release notes:
A lot of things have changed since the last released build.  We now
have a real icon set that (IMO) looks nice.  Menu objects have icons,
but they are strangely small.  I'm looking into that.  There are a
ton of new features added to this build which are listed below.
Overall, this build and release is much higher quality than the last
one released in May.  A full explanation of changes is marked below.

Code: [Select]
v1.0.60213.0515p
[Lots of Polishing]
- Added new (incomplete, will crash you) bar with all open windows
- Added new free graphics to menu items
- Added icon set to make program feel more at home
- Added "Waiting to join channel" freeze when a channel is joined
- Better name change detection
- Experimental name detection (lines with your nickname are highlighted) [SLOOOOW]
- Tweaked JOIN/PART detection
- PART message sent to other members now "Client chose to leave the channel."
- Closing program usually exits IRC server nicely (parts channels, disconnects,
  and THEN it quits.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.
