buy my old wow acct?
« on: May 21, 2008 07:28 am CDT »
Anyone want to buy my old world of warcraft account?

It's got a 51 shaman, 43 mage, 39 rogue, 33 priest, 30 warrior, 28 pally, and a couple around 15. It's also got around 600 gold, both 40+ have mounts, and all the characters have basically the best gear they can get for their level.

Selling it cheap (It's on Echo Isles, a PvE realm).. no use for it anymore.

hahaha yeah, waste your money and buy a WoW account...OR

BUY A PCPRPG ACCOUNT!

Level 1499 (was 1500, but 1499 is cooler) RL100 (a REAL God), all skills over 15,000; mug anyone with ease; bash for 25,000 damage and off-map every time. Bash recharges in 5 seconds or less; backstab for 25,000 damage; Keldrinite Long Sword in storage; Keldrin Armor in storage.

You can mine 2000-3000 diamonds in an hour, easily. Maybe more, I haven't checked in a while. Also mines Keldrinite, 2 an hour or so.

I accept paypal, checks, or cash.

Nah, I do believe Shan recently sold his character for a decent amount.

Alright, alright.....$2.00. That's DOUBLE my original offer. I'd say it's a pretty sweet deal.

Haha, I wasn't expecting anything near $75..  I was thinking more like $35.  Hell, a month of play time is only $15 and it would take you more than a month to level all those characters (unless you played 8 hours a day).

Last time I checked WoW had eight million subscribers.

I was referring to the per-server numbers, but that works too =)

I never understood why people would pay for a character, all the fun is leveling them up, especially on a server that doesn't allow pvp.

Trpg might be the exception.

there is still arena and battlegrounds on PvE servers..  some people just don't like getting attacked by higher level people while they are trying to enjoy the game.  I would start on a PvP server if I ever played again though.

..and none of my characters are really high, I never played enough to get anything to 70.

as for buying a character, some people are just lazy..  might as well take advantage.

Actually, it's more like most people don't want to do PvP at all because they realize they're horrible at it, from my experience at least.  They want to grind quests all day and get a fully geared char and do end game raids, but don't want to work for it like you have to on a PvP server.  I've rolled a 60 on PvE and a 35 on PvP, and it's a lot harder on PvP.

I hated the grind and rare item seaches in WoW. Such a time sink. So instead of relying on a decked-out character to win my fights, I got really good at being a rogue.
I kicked a ton of ass as a 60 Rogue in the Battlegrounds, and most of my armor was blue (and some was even green). My weapons were pretty crappy, too. My best items came from the PvP rewards; I was ranking up fairly quickly considering I was just working alone.
My favorite battleground was the massive snow one where you had to capture the bases. Done right, we'd win in like 20-30 minutes or something. Done wrong, the damn thing would drag out hours and hours. At that point you either quit or just pick off lone mages. I had an amazing combo that would take out an unsuspecting mage in seconds.

Then I realized you could never get close to the top PvP rank without playing 24/7 and being organized with a group that worked together to get each other to that point. Then I quit.

Fun game while it lasted, though.

Yeah, that's why I quit too..  it was fun but to get anywhere near the top you'd have to give your life to the game.
