Currently Triton, Magic, myself, and possibly Jonah are all playing central/eastern pvp servers together. With hollywood and the other "orb" members being against us as those horde bastards!

If you are alliance, don't be a warrior.. be a Paladin. I played a warrior to 23, and then played a paladin afterwards.. the paladin was much stronger than the warrior. Paladins get talent point abilities to increase rage generation, enabling them to tank just as well as warriors.. not to mention auras, judgement seals, and a ranged magic attack for pulling.
I'm going to be either a human paladin, or an undead warlock.

Anyways after nonstop playing I made it to level 10. Half way to 11. (Note that I never played the beta so I'm totally new and don't know where all the quests are, it's actually better this way, more adventerous.

On PvP servers, if you are in your territory, you have to hit the enemy first for them to be able to hit you, so it's not like it's going to hinder you from leveling..

Blizzard is opening like 36 new servers on top of the 40something current ones for them, too.. whiny unsavory womanes. I'd like to see them even comprehend releasing a MMORPG and not having to re-adjust or change things in the first few weeks.

I played closed and open beta when there were only 9 servers up for the East Coast.. 500,000 people signed up for the closed beta. There were times when I had to wait 4 hours+ to get on.. I would open it before I went to bed, or before I actually wanted to play it. You're right.. I was acting like it didn't really lag, but you're also wrong, because compared to beta, it really didn't.

So far I've beaten:
Mage - Even level to +4
Paladin - Never seen one so far
Shaman - Even level to +1
Other hunters - Even to +3
Rogues - Even to +1, but one kicked my ass
Priest - Never fought
Druid - Even to +2, but lost to one
Warrior - -1 to +4, pretty easy fights here
PVP in this game is really fun. I think I'll head to Ashenvale and try to pick off some Alliance tonight on Stormreaver.

On our server we typically have 1-3 rogues in a high level instance (60)
A dagger rogue specced for ambush backstab etc, a (I forgot what it was called at the moment) rogue who has imp sap, etc etc things to help them deal with multiple monsters, and then they have a combat rogue basically (For ROGUES). Our servers high levels are really "hardcore" I guess. Is you do 3% less damage than another rogue in your group, they will boot you and insult you and call you useless. It happens alot. People on my server dont have people skills.

Its your choice. You can solo or party. I think soloing to 60 is faster. But once you hit 60, you cant really do anything without a group. (BRD, Stratholme, Scholomance etc)

I played the beta on my brother's system, and one of my friends plays over here sometimes.. it looks much much better than that with a nice graphics card. Ours is a p4 3 ghz, gig of ram, and a 9800XT (256).. the game looks amazing.

If you know how to play, you can keep aggro off you, plus vanish ect. I rarly die unless I do something stupid.
They don't need AoE, do far enough damage on a single target.

As a rogue, I never have problems finding a group - yes I also am in a large guild.
Warlocks are probably the best soloing class. Rogues are the probably the best pvp. I would take a paladin over a warrior to tank, because it takes a VERY smart warrior to tank properly.
The difference between priest and shaman.
Think of it this way:
A priest is a healer. Priests have some decent shadow spells for soloing, and fear can be decent in pvp. Shaman are basicly short-lived demigods. Seriously.. Shaman can do a malarkey load of damage, and can take quite a beating. The thing is though is once their mana runs out they are worthless.
Sure it could be the same with a priest, but the priest isn't a primary damage dealer.
If it wasn't for shamans using so much mana, they would be overpowered.

And as eViL said, PvP is a lot of fun. You gank, you get ganked, then you get your guild together and raid their towns. It is a lot of fun. You can avoid battle with mobs if you are smart. If someone of the opposite faction wants to fight you, you are either going to fight them, or not quest in that area for a while.
Besides, on my server there isn't much corpse camping. You just die, and they run away.
It isn't like you lose anything from dying in PvP anyway unless a mob gets the last hit.

Yeah, he's right.. besides, there are multiple areas to hunt/quest no matter what level you are. The worlds are pretty big..
I read about the battlegrounds thing too. They are also doing something new with orcs, but I can't remember.. I do know that they plan on releasing 6 tiers of boss-like monsters, and the strongest ones are currently the 1st and 2nd tier. The battlegrounds thing reminds me of DAoC that has all the different posts to control.. it's going to make WoW twice as good as it already is!

It is also fun for the occasional low level newbie to swing at you. I /sleep while they try to hit me and then I get bored /laugh and kill them. Then of course I have to /cry and /apologize because they were to little to play tag.
I actually do spare some horde. If I see someone questing, I might give them mercy if they seem innocent or are not on my kill-on-site list.
By the way, all shamans are on that list (It is actually a guild thing). Rogues are also on that list, but I give them the benefit of seeing me first--unless they are above 55.
I honestly don't have enough time to play that game.... weekends aren't enough.

It didn't lag untill the Banshee Queen started casting. It also only lagged then because 60 people died in a matter of 2 seconds in one room.
It was really a pointless raid.. So we took about 30 people and raided Taren Mill.

Hmm, about Rogues.. They seem very nice DPS wise. The most populated rogue style is crit % items. I see alot of 60's with most of their armor/trinkets/rings/weapons adding up to over 9% extra crit.. Damn they must have at least 20% to crit.. Plus some have full shadow, probably giving them a Set bonus for crit%.. I also see alot of people with the 2 Devilsaur set items which give crit % and the set bonus is probably even more crit % bonus! Jesus..

I'm almost at 60! I have to deal with only playing on the weekends, but only three more levels *cheer*.
What do you guys think of the PvP-reward system and rankings? I'm not sure I'm fond of how you have to work so hard to get your PVP rank up, get the officer’s items, and then not be able to use them once you sink to low.
Wouldn't that mean you'd have to devote too much of your real-life time to keep on top of the people who can play it a lot longer then you and thus get the high-yield rewards.
Not sure how realistic that is. Your city protectors/grand warlords end up becoming the “maturity challenged� 18/6 – 24/7 uber-powergamers. (Sorry for the bad taste on the stereotype – not everyone is like this)
Oh, no one has gotten the Bottomless Bags Recipe or Baron’s Mount drop have they?
If so, hmm.. congrats? Where do you guys find the best spots to get your income at, other than through instance-run loot drops? What speculation do you guys have on the future instances, zones and raid events they’ll be adding? Some examples I can think of are Uldum, Caverns of Time, Gilneas, Emerald Dream etc.
Well, can't wait for Battlegrounds here. Also can't wait to do some more raid's on the capitals for Honor Points on the world bosses in them (the leaders). Giant raid on Ironforge can you say?

I use Barman Shanker/Lifeforce Dagger when im specced dagger, as you see there. When I spec my own strange build, I use Assassination Blade/Lifeforce.
I don't want to brag, but im in the top 3 rogues of the server.

Its ranked by duels. Im probably very bad at group PvP, but we duel ALOT outside IF, thats like the 60 hangout.

Crystal Spider isnt that great in my terms. I would only use it as an offhand, but that would be useless because I wouldnt use the mace if I ever got it. Im going for a krol/heartseeker.

The only "Nerf" was fixing the seal fate bug. I wouldn't consider the gem thing a nerf, but whatever.
Yes we raid almost nightly. That is why most of our 60's have most if not all of their elite equip.

Warrior
- Training costs adjusted. Total training cost was slightly increased.
- Battle Shout - Rage cost reduced.
- Bloodrage - Health cost reduced.
- Heroic Strike - Damage increased.
- Parry - Moved to level 6.
- Thunder Clap - Now causes Physical damage instead of Nature damage;
damage increased; duration increased with each new rank.
Improved Sunder Armor - Now decreases rage cost by 1/1/1.
Improved Thunder Clap - Now decreases rage cost by 1/1/2.
- Execute - Full rage is no longer consumed when the ability does not
hit.
- Overpower - Should now be usable when a special attack is dodged.
- Fixed a bug where rage was not being generated when normal melee
attacks were parried, dodged, and blocked.
- Charge has been improved so it will work through doorways and won't
path you through an entire dungeon.
- Sweeping Strikes bug fixed. It will hit more reliably and show up
in combat log correctly.
- Added a visual to Sword Specialization "proc" that will now show up
in the combat log as well.

So Rogues now lose all 5 combo points and the energy that went into building up to that point, gg. We deal 0 damage on a blocked hit, a warrior maintains his rage for another try. The rogue deals 0 damage and loses everything, fair enough.

Last night was "PvP night" so we headed to Southshore. This was not a ganking party ganking LVL 20s, our objective was to try and attract a large Alliance resistence and hopefully see a fun battle.
We had about 35 people on the raid, most of them guild members. Every single person was in Vent, with one person giving orders. I was one of the few people that were under 55-60.

We move in. Not many high LVL Alliance have gotten there yet, so we decide to take their Inn. And boy did we. The guard situation was handled flawlessly, with everyone staying very tight with mages AoEing. Very easy to coordinate with ventrilo.

Inside the inn. There are more people in there than it actually looks like, some warlocks in the back room summoning people and some people upstairs handling the second story ressers.

Still holding the Inn. Our hunters set traps at the door, and the mages AoE the main room and near the door. Guard rushes were no problem with this set up, and the Alliance that tried to get in (LVL 30-60) were wiped out quickly.
We kept this up for a long time, until finally the Alliance outnumbered us greatly. We got pushed out, regrouped and went back. We held the windrider for a while again, then I had to get off. Not sure what happened after that.
Very fun =)

Will lvl 60 be the top lvl for ever? 0_o Seems a lil low...
How long does it take to get to lvl 60, without botting/macros?
Can you buy a house/castle etc..?

Depends. If you spend a lot of time PvPing, then it will of course take longer. But if it's straight LVLing maybe like 9 days play time. Thats 9 actual days playing the game, not 9 out of game days. And I don't think it is really possible to use bots. But you could hire a chinese company to power LVL you

I don't believe they have any hacks to speak of, probably because the packets are very encrypted. Theres plenty of public bots out, auto-loot included of course. Most seem to be for mages, but theres a few out there for melee fighters.

Just found a proggy that gives you "free" tracking abillities, it's also more of a sub forum actually. So maybe there are hacks out there. ^_^

But, they made only 51, because if you had 52 you could get those two skills ^^ plus Combustion (31 points in Fire) which does 100% next fire spell is a critical hit.. Presence of Mind + Combustion + Pyroblast = instant 1500+ damage, which is basically an instant killer in PvP. :P

You could have just said, D2 level system with Warcraft's named slapped onto it.

Soon a PVP reward system will be implemented where the more you kill other players (of close level) the more points you get. Once you get points, you will get a rank based on the percentage of points you've gotten. Higher ranks will allow you access to special areas in the main city, the ability to purchase special armors and weapons, and I think you also get special abilities.

Exteremely boring. On our server, we got all the top pvp rogues and made a little organization that only allows rogues in. We harass ogrimmar and do stealth raids, its very fun.

After 4 weeks of being 60, I have a frightalon, frinkle's skinner, and the blademaster leggings. That is all I have gained. I get maybe 1 blackrock run per week and I get maybe 1 item from the run if I am lucky. I can follow lead without a problem, I don't have issues with wanting everything, I have issues with just wanting to get the forking items I need as a level 60 rogue to survive. I am still wearing some armor with a level 48 requirement, outdated somewhat....

When our server tried to take down Azuregos, I led the pvp-raid. 30-40 horde tried to stop us and out raid fended them off. The guild who beat azuregos didnt even thank us. Typical.
Ive only been to UBRS once, no rougue stuff dropped. But just wait for honor system. Next patch.

Had a uBRS group, main tank was about to get his ass schooled because he had no clue how to pull or hold aggro... go figure. I was group leader, and we had someone ninja a quest item from the blacksmith thing (rack on the back wall). People were unsavory womaning nonstop so I finally told them to blame me, shut up, and focus on the room we were in (we were about 2 mobs from rend). All in all, the run sucked, but it was a chance to experiment and get use to master loot (first time ever for me, slick setup). So meh, I got the only piece of SC that dropped.

It's tons of fun sitting on the dock in their town, fishing. They try to come close, you spin around and beat them up! Very handy to have a druid with you to root them in place for a good gank style beating.

Also on our server, Alliance-horde is 3:1. Honor system is gonna be screwed when it comes out. So little horde, and when the horde do come out they come with friends.

Anyway, I played for a good 30 minutes as well on my Shaman. Got 67 HK's, considering I'm not as fast of a killer as a rogue or mage, I say that's a pretty decent amount. It was a good 20vs20(XRoads, there were also battles at Org, TM, Astrannar, etc etc), we had 3 fair fights, but then they "countered" us with that fake decoy army and came with at least a good 40 alliance on the N side. (We were at the E side at the time)
