Ok, I know that Cherry had a looong thread about this, but how about some more ideas for quests?


Server Casino:  Located in a map "hole" where there is nothing but flat land.

Games include RPGized versions of games of luck.  Games vary from a variety of guessing games, skill games, and knowledge.  I think that the games of skill could be games where you have to beam targets and such.

These games would not have consequences/rewards such as Ozzy's rock games, that would make the server lose it's appeal.  Perhaps the prizes might include Money, armor, weapons, a level or two, and perhaps even a Rank point or two every now and then.

There would be lots of color and flashing lights on the interior and exterior of the casino.  And a banker could be located inside where you can withdraw money to play.

How about different peddlers in the server instead of merchants that sell everything you need?  We could have a Weapons vender, Armor vender, jeweler, potions master, and grocer.  Each one will only buy stuff that they can sell.

You come aross the potions master if keldrin town.  Old age has made him weak, and he can no longer venture out into the wild world of Keldrinia to collect the things he uses to make his potions.  He asks of you to retreive herbs, mushrooms, plants, bones, etc that he can use for his potions.  If you give him the right combination, you can have him make you a special item.

At the bottom of a lake you meet a woman (lol, lady of the lake).  She asks that you take this special blade to an old mage that lives in a huge tower (gotta make a very hugh, very dark-looking tower).  She asks that you also do not equip it.  You agree, and she hands you a "Keening".  Now, for those who have played Morrowind, this may seem familiar.  You take the blade to the old mage and get a reward.

If you ever attempt to equip the Keening blade, you instantly die.  Only those who have the mark of (Del Saaj?) may use the blade.  The stats on the blade are enormous, lemme tell you that.

How about a new type of map pack of rpgmap5?  In this, the terrain in rpgmap changes in accordance to the seasons.  So, during the dates of, say, Nov. 15 and Feb. 29 there is snow/ice all around.  Even the surface of the rivers is frozen so you can walk righ across it.  During spring and summertime we can keep the same map that we use now, and during the fall the terrain is full of dead grass and perhaps even leaves.

How about there is a man walking in the mines.  He fades in and out, going through walls.  If you manage to catch him (he's only there occasionally) then you get a little somethin' special.  Or killed.

New Idea:  Haunted House

You know when people join the server, their character is like translucent for a second?  Well how about making enemies that are translucent and call them Ghosts?

The haunted house would consist of rooms such as a kitchen, livingroom, diningroom, bedroom, and maybe a bathroom.  The ghosts would probably be like those you find in the crypt, like around the same lvl of difficulty.

All these ideas sound good to me. I especially like the season idea. It would add alittle more flavor to the map. Also, maybe instead of changing the whole map in the new RPG that you are making, Just keep the old one *since its still keldrania we  are talking about* and just add to it. We have plunty of holes left to fill in the map *new buildings* and all that good stuff.. Just a thought i guess. Also, if any of these ideas do come through, i can model and do prefabs.

Oh the v4 map is done? Heh i cant wait to see that, I tried to make something but terrain editing takes too long for me..
