Yea I didn't know if I should put this in OTW or General Disc. but I decided this cause I probably will never finish this project so it is almost meaningless.....anyways this is what I worked on one night. It is basically a new gui for TRPG where it even warns you if you don't have a password.  But I am working on an inventory which is the part where I will likely give up on :p

Yea I am not new to tribes RPG but I am new to the forum however.

Although I haven't played PCRPG for quite some time(I was wowiforgotmypass) but I host the Bov's TvT.  But yea Particle's server is fun but I just got tired of it so that might be why you haven't seen my name around.

Nope I don't mind.  Actually if anyone wants to edit it be my guest.

I use IE 6 and Firefox but I think I have extensions or something cause I never seem to have a problem when the \ and / are switched up cause I test the site on both of them

i need an inv cam again...lost mine a couple years ago and i cant find one...full screen inv cam..like t2rpg where the boxes just pop up

If you could make a slick inventory GUI that doesn't have the same problems with the number of items in the game, that would be wonderful.  Hell, I'd even pay you to make a nice RPG-worthy GUI if you can solve the other problem I mentioned.  It's an issue with the GUI.  It may not be fixable if you're limited to 8-bit ints in the GUI, but I'd appreciate the effort.

possibly another chat box for say hitting things

put that all in one little 3 line adjustable if necessary box

perhaps make look like all the 2900000 other rpgs out there, putting the global talk box at the bottom of the screen..

and instead of just a health bar, how about a circular meter in the bottom right of the screen :P

Individual chat boxes that will pop up when the appropriate message is received (which can be specified by the user).
So I can tell it I want all group messages sent to a movable resizeable chatbox in the bottom right, tells each in their own box, damage/server messages to a different box..you get the idea.

Yea.....I think I will stick with Inventory sounds easier :p

Also making a new inventory is the biggest pain cause of the tribes inv glitch(Smallrocks -123)

Nah I am just talking about items that have like over 500 of small rocks is just the most common for me cause I played in TvT but I remember stuff like #hamalarkeyem where I really messed up other items so I couldn't get a proper inv. count....I guess it wouldn't really be a problem in Parts too too bad though......from my quick tests I think I should be able to make it so you have over 500 obj. without it messing up and over 200 diff items. on you at one time.....uhm it was just a quick test I did though so not to sure how accurate it is.  I still am working on layout and coding for the inv system cause I am bypassing the tribes inv. system and just writing the code for recieving objects through remote

It should not be hard to write a function which stores the values in a better manner... I wonder why nobody has done that yet.

Cause the GUI needs to do all the visual stuff, plus you need a way to tell the item number, item name, description, and class type (armor misc ammunition, etc...)  I have a pretty good idea how I can do this but I might need help cause I don't really know the item functions and everything as well as I use to know them
