They are selling it for $30?
-
Since they release them yearly now, might as well be cheaper. Half-Life > Unreal.
-
Its funny though..
Since it is this cheap, I will probably get it and put it on my Red Hat system. 3d games usually run better on RH, and a linux version was already releases =/
-
My computer is never fast enough for RH. Unless I convert to one of those people who boots it up once, then leaves it on forever.
-
Well, since it does require you already own 2K3, it makes sense to sell it at that price. Remember when Opposing Force came out? Even though it was a great game, PCGamer was oggled by the fact that it sold for as much as Half-Life did when it came out.
I cant wait to play it on the computer I'm building.
-
You obviously know nothing of RH then.
-
I dont even know what that means.
-
I dont even know what that means.

Red Hat
-
oh ok didnt read every post
-
Red Hat is expensive in stores. I never actually found a download for redhat (cept on a "site").
*edit*
Ohh, I think hes talkin to Arsenic.......
-
I was, and you can get RH for free all over the net. Just look for version 9.
-
Id rather get a different distro, since they will start charging for support and updates. I plan on setting up a separate linux box at some point this summer.
-
*sigh*
Darwin.. You can get as much support as you need in linux communities on the net.
You can download all the updates you need for free.
-
Redhat is expensive cuz of the documentation it comes with.
-
just to say this, and i know ull all think im some kind of jackass wit computers (which is kinda true ), but wat is Red Hate and wat is the game that ubergod pointed out bout?
-
There is no Red Hate, and there is no ubergod.
I was talking about an operating system called RedHat, and I am Undergod.
That isn't why they are charging so much in stores.
Basicly RH wants to sell their own operating system like microsoft. To the general public who doesn't know about the Linux license, and with the RIAA going on their little rampage. People are going to think they are required to buy it. RH is trying to be the first Linux to be good enough for the average home computer user.
If they do it, all the power too them. I, however know about the Linux license. So it is pointless for me to buy it when I can download it for free forever.
