Post by: Mavrix on May 11, 2003 11:23 pm CDT
How could you possible found a mole in your backyard? It's like finding a deer in your backyard the odds are just not good enough for it to happen. Should of kept it as a pet but you might have to deal with the mother somewhere down the line so I guess it was best that it left.

for your information, when i lived in michigan, there would be a deer in my backyard every night, so don't use that example because its inaccurate.

My and my sister used to dig holes under the roots of a tree in the corner of our backyard when we were younger.  There, we would put all my mom's spices in holes we made.  While digging, we found a mole, which she and I caught in a tupperware tub.  While doing so, I got bit by it, and my mom took me to the doctor, just in case I got rabies.

Sheesh...

Oh, and there are two bucks and 6 does that live on my property.

I used to have moles in my backyard when we had a big garden.  We still do, and it's hell trying to get another one started.  For some reason, they like to eat the tomato plants more than the others.

I watched my cat climb up a neighbors column (the kind that is smooth) by using his claws to reach a woodpecker's hole, where he literally dragged the bird to the ground and ate it.

Heh, here's my dog... (What it has to do with storms... Don't ask.  =P) His name's Buddy... He's an albino, half pekingese, half chihuahua.

The camera used to scare the malarkey out of him...

Now he just watches it endlessly...

He rests on the strangest of things, I swear...

I think he spends more time on his back than upright...

Not a true albino, his eyes arent red, but thats weird/cool.  I'll get some pics of my dogs when I get my netcam.  Both are labs that weigh around 110 pounds during the winter.
Title:
Post by: Silvanoshei on May 12, 2003 10:57 pm CDT
His eyes are a bright, glimmering red when light hits them. I'm talking iridescent, flashing between white and red for the whole eye. He looks like some sort of devilspawn...

Heh. Near my house there's a fairly large park... The type that's forested and has walking paths through it. When my friend and I were walking through it, we somehow got on the topic of chipmunks... When we walked by an elderly man, he must have heard us, because he turned around and asked us if we wanted to feed some chipmunks... Having nothing else to do, we agreed, and he pulled out some sunflower seeds and made this weird call... It was like something you see out of Tarzan or Beastmaster... He gave us a few sunflower seeds and told us to put our hands on the ground...

After a while a chipmunk came hesitantly out of the bushes and crept up to my hand... He took a look around then hopped up actually into my hand and starting eating/storing the seeds... The man told me that I could actually pick him up and pet him while he ate... So, I did. It was one of the coolest animal related things I've ever done, considering he had taught the chipmunk this, even though it was wild. I wish I had a camera that day.   :(

Oh, well. Good times, good times.

Post by: Seasomeor on May 13, 2003 07:46 pm CDT
lol, my only chipmunk experience was when I was like 8 or maybe even younger... I got some seeds or some bird feed or something... and I did the elmer fudge thing and got a box, a stick, and took off my shoelaces...

lo and behold it actually worked lol... I lured the chipmunk out with the seeds... and then put a huge pile of them under the box... once he got in the box, i pulled the string and jumped on the box to hold it down...

of course I hadn't a clue of what to do past that... so I sat there wondering how in the heck can i actually get ahold of him... I tilited the box and he ran away under a shed :(

and my elmer fudge days were over...
Title:

I thought is was Elmer Fudd, or something.  Heh, Elmer Fudge reminds me of the Keebler Elves with Elfudge.   Mmmm...

Post by: Hiiro Yui on May 16, 2003 09:49 pm CDT
Candy on the forums I don't know. Thought it was about the animals people have. But just to put my two cents in I'm going to say I like Almond Joys as my favorite candy bar but is Almond Joys considered a candy bar since only two slices come in back?

On to animals, I like Char-pai's the dogs who have alot of skin and just sit around and eat and sleep all day. That's my kind of dog low maintenance.

Astral Projection? That's one of my favorite Psy-Trance artists, but I guess you're talking about an "out of body experience".

As for Darwin, and Ken.. this is for you
It explains how to retain lucidity in your dreams.
