SEK Lanparty 2003

Guess who took #3 in the Quake III Arena tourney and 1st team in Enemy Territory!  That's right, it's me!  I had a blast.  Anybody else with similar LAN Party stories?  Describe a tense moment from one of the games.  I'll do it later, but I need to pack up--it's almost midnight.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

I was at cybernet cafe memphis, and we had a little Q3 tourney.  Now, a few years ago when the quake III demo came out, I was hooked, but I didnt have any connection and I never bought the full version, so I played against bots all the time.

I ended up mastering this demo, and I knew where all the bots would be.  It seems like it is the same thing with newbies.  I had a friggin 100-5 ratio in the end I think.  Same in Jedi Knight II.

Yeah... I won a game once...
lol, I don't beat games too often... I always just stop for some reason halfway through them. (Sorry if I took it slightly off topic)

I played Q3 for about 2 weeks, and just started hating it. I heard it's a lot different now though, like they took out a lot of the garble that that voice always said, because all you could here was "multi has the bag multi multi kill bag returned". I just couldn't play it anymore, wasn't as fun as tribes was for the first 2 years I played it...

I could own ANYONE at Q2 for N64 though, it's like the only FPS that I was actually good at. :D

Gotta love SBC with their 6Mbps tier for 45$
(Yes, on their site it only shows 3Mbps, but it is actually 6Mbps, I would know :)).
