How do you make such long loops?  I could never make a song past like 8 blocks long unless I just wanted it to loop over and over.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

In the window with the all the beat buttons, at the top left corner there is a box with a number in it.  I think it defaults to 6, which is really short..  click and hold on it, and then drag your mouse up, and it will extend it.  Most of mine are either at 12 or 16.  After you finish a set like that, there is another number at the top (starts on 1) and if you drag it up to 2, it gives you a clean slate to work with, but saves your previous (if you drag back down to 1 it appears).  That way, you can setup the transitions and just switch to page 2 at the end of the rolling beat so it seems like the loops are even longer.  I'll put in some screenshots later, since i'm not on the powerful computer.  This one doesn't even have a sound card, so it makes for malarkeyty music =/

How difficult was that program to use. Could anyone just get it and start making songs or is it fairly difficult to put a song together?

Well, it's hard at first, but I'd by lying if I said anyone could make something good from scratch.  There are a lot of preset beats, but eventually when you play with them alot, all your songs start to sound the same.  Once you master the piano roll, and editing sounds (echos, sound time, cutting, beats, etc..), the only thing left is your musical ear and the ability to make it all flow together.  It's confusing at first, but if you look around for help sites to get you started, it comes naturally.

Thanx for the info. i am thinking of getting the trial download just to play with it and then maybe buy it if it is somewhat user friendly.

Sounds good 12stones.. Charlie Brown sounds like something David Firth from Fat-pie.com would use in one of his videos, lol.

The second one starts off good but is a little repetitive. Good job in making them. :)

FRUITY LOOPS

I have an ooolld version of FLP that my bro gave me in high school... I think it's warezed... but I can't tell since it didn't come with anything but the basic sounds and tos files.  If it is... it's the only warez I still have in use at any time.

I am not a big fan of this particular type of music... but it sounds good for a first couple goes.

//EDIT//
I do like electronic stuff, but this type of electronic is not my perticular style... as there are quite a few styles with in the genre I think.  The second leans a little closer to what I like, but I still prefer EuroTrash and Electonic Body Music (Skinny Puppy.)

I love skinny puppy!  I first heard them on the underworld soundtrack, and I was hooked after that.

i would consider skinny puppy to be industrial hardcore more than eurotrash/electronic.
