PCRPG + Youtube?

Ok, Particle.

I think that this server is dying.

Well, all of tribes is dying.

I think if you would post a few youtube videos on "How" (Because some people are computer retarted) to set up Tribes RPG for V"ista", and "Windows XP"


I think it could bring some life back into the server.

As of now, there are about 3 AFK people on all day long.

Only time they move is when they need to walk back to the God corner in the uber.

OS upgrades are designed to destroy backhoots compatibility and turn software that worked fine into "legacy" software on the new stuff.

You might try that all-in-one package I put together a while back:

http://downloads.pcrpg.org/tribes/tribe ... dytogo.exe

It should install Tribes, TRPG 5.005, Deus, Deus EXP patch, Presto, mem patch, v1.11 update, Deus chat, updater, mapping tools, skinning tools, modeling tools, updater, and Vista support as well as a premade TRPG launcher.  It's pretty noob-proof, but I haven't published it yet.  It needs more testing to make sure everything works as intended.  Any volunteers?

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

I am still running XP and OSX... so I can't really test it on Vista.
Would you still like me to test it on XP?

I'm seriously entertaining a clear.  Most people seem to be in favor of one this time around, unlike the last time I proposed it.

True..  I think that the server has gotten to the point where levels are so far apart that it's not fun anymore..

I'd play. I want a clear.

But some of the gods that are like RL 5000 might not come back.


But i'd love to have everyone back at the same starting point.


But there needs to be some sort of new content.

Maybe like 3 new zones? And some new kind of weapon.
