Title: Upcoming Cool Features

The news system will be completed, along with special functions for every weapon.  For now, they are just attack boosters ala Asheron's Call 2.

For Slash:
Riptide
Cleave
Sever
Ultra Riptide

For Pierce:
Stab
Pierce
Penetrate
Backstab

For Bludgeon:
Bruise
Bash
Sledge
Obliterate

For Ranged:
Fling
Tear
Bolt
Kister

They are listed in the order of power.  These special attacks will be seperate skills to raise.  The attacks will be setup in a unique way, so that they are more challenging each time.  The higher skills will require certain levels to use.  I am thinking that I might make a Stamina bar for use with the health and mana bars.  If stamina hits 0, then special attacks can't be used.  Kinda like mana for attacks instead of magic.

I'll reply to this post when I'm ready to release these new features onto the beta server.

If everything goes well, this could be really cool!  These special attacks will eventually encorporate sfx with them.

WOOH!  MOre nifty sounds :)  Utide worked...but there wasn't really an effect at that level slashing (to be expected I would think).  Cleave never hit...everytime I tried cleave I'd miss...might be coincidence or may be a bug, i did try it around 15 times though =/ I did not try the third.

I think I know why utide didn't work--it isn't a command.  I may have mistyped it in the email.

Riptide - #riptide (or) #rtide
Cleave - #cleave
Sever - #sever
Ultra Riptide - #uriptide (or) #urtide

Ultra riptide could boost an attack by over 2x, at present.  Take note that the damage calculations are going to be redone to be more dependant on your SP in those new skills.  As it is now, you can use Ultra Riptide with 0 skill and damage for almost 2x.  Other than that, there's also going to be a chance of failing the attack.  Just give me some time! heh

I'm glad you like it.  Now that they're working, I need to do the same for the other three types of weapons.

Just another thing to note:  These aren't weapon type specific yet.  That's coming soon enough.

I tried them all out this morning and they seemed to work ok, must have been by chance Cherry.
