Title: WoW(World of Warcraft) Beta starts today

The first round of emails has gone out, and the North American and Korean World of Warcraft beta tests have officially begun. If you didnt receive an email, dont worry; well be adding more testers at the start of each upcoming beta-test phase. Keep an eye on http://www.blizzard.com (http://www.blizzard.com) for news on when well be opening up the additional phases, because that will be your clue to check the email account you used to sign up. Also, anyone interested in tracking the progress of the beta test can visit our World of Warcraft Community Site, which will contain regular updates as well as general information about the game. The beta tests for certain languages in Europe and some additional languages in the AsiaPacific regions will take place at a later date. Post by: DeAtH-Abbadon on March 18, 2004 11:31 pm CST: actually i kinda got a question, im thinking of getting one of these big online rpgs, i think i might either get world of warcraft or FFXI.. im really torn between the two, im kinda leaning at FFXI cause a irl friend is gonna be playing that. i was thinking of getting WoW right when it came out though so i could get a nice edge whereas on FFXI i would be a total newb. any thoughts?

Post by: Razore on March 18, 2004 11:34 pm CST: Well. FFXI is VERY time consuming. Its not like most RPGs. It depends on team play after level 15 or so. In FFXI loot actually has a meaning too. You may spend hours trying to find a party, or you may spend hours trying to get gil. (very hard to get gil). Whereas WoW wont come out for a few years(I think) so id say FFXI. =P

Or stick to PCRPG...even tho ive sworn to stop playing it cuz i got ass raped 3 times in a row so i said "screw it, ill stay on the forums and forget the server" lol

and it seems my comp cant run ffxi so ima upgrade my comp i think, it needs it anyway.
