Not unless you go into some detailed code, which is undoubtedly not covered in that book.  Sure, you can Kill Filename most stuff, but system files that are in use can't.

Just don't count on it.  Use a Win98 boot disk and type:
format C:\

unless it's an NT/2k/XP machine:
-use the windows setup CD
Let it start and go through the menus saying you do want to install.  Select all the partitions and press D.  Create a new one and let it format, then quickly press restart & pull the CD.

Oh course, if I hear you used either of these methods against anybody, I won't mail you a cookie but a 5.56x54 round instead.  Rigged to fire on open :)

*Disclaimer due to legal reasons--I don't condone malice against other systems.  Nor do I advocate violence.  I would also not mail a bullet to anybody via USPS with the intent to scare or injure the receiving (or other) party.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

Hell, with all the security programs going on right now, I'd be wary of mailing any live ammunition to anybody also.  I know what I'll do.  I'll mail you a bomb such as on Serious Sam with a yellow smily face on it.   JK.

For some reason, my disclaimer reminds me of that one "I am Canadian" thing.

I used that avatar because a few days ago I couldnt find ANY of my pants.  What happened was my mother got charity-happy and decided to give away all my pants to the needy.  The thing was, she didnt know she gave away ALL my pants.  Right now I'm wearing shorts/bathing suit.

I yelled from my room:  WHERE THE F* ARE MY PANTS?!

Don't hit me for saying that, I know it's a horrible thought!  :D

If you don't know who the unibomber was, then you shouldn't be taking C++ courses.

Gotta love SBC with their 6Mbps tier for 45$
(Yes, on their site it only shows 3Mbps, but it is actually 6Mbps, I would know :)).
