old forums!
« on: August 4, 2002 02:22 pm CDT »
so, think its okay to talk about the old forums round here?

many people are angry over there and many others dont know about it or why, so when they see angry people they are assuming that the angry people are jsut crazy newbies.  well, they have good reason but the resons keep being deleted.

i was recently banned from the main trpg forums and kicked off the IS dev team along with it, the reason? talking about how IS is run and trying to tell people that posts are being deleted and people banned without reason.

i really want to get it across, to tell people whats happening over there, but i have no good medium to talk in anymore. . . . .

----------
okay i forgot where i was going with that, your thoughts?

I think any thread stating a fact someone doesnt like gets deleted is because, just maybe, that fact is ture and it gets deleted because its too much to handle for them. I feel that the old forums are just pot now run by someone who hears the wrong thing kicks them away because they dont kiss ass and arnt a brown-noser.

Feel free to talk about the old forums all you want.  There's not a damn thing Blitz can do about this forum.

I was sent a record of your conversation, Zel (along with eSavior).  Some of the things Blitz said were unbelievable!  Here's a few things that dork said:

[19:44] <Toaster> ask the communuity how they want to see it work
[19:45] <Blitz> screw them lol
[19:45] <Toaster> ...
[19:45] <Blitz> =P
[19:45] <Scourage> :P
[19:46] <Blitz> i'm making this to learn
[19:46] <Blitz> i'm not making it for anyone
[19:46] <Blitz> i couldn't give 2 malarkeys about half the nitwits out there
[19:46] <Toaster> except yourself, apparently
[19:47] <Blitz> all i care about are the ones i know and respect
[19:47] <Blitz> if making it to learn is making it for myself, then sure

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

okay...  first off, blitz has a lot to learn, he didnt know anything whatsoever about tribes scripting till goldy and matt taught him and let him mess with Forests of Hyrule server's scripts.vol (which was running my mod, hahahahaha)  and then whenever there was a problem he would come to me to ask what something did or how to work in a new system, so basically i taught him everything he knows, till he started working with t2rpg, he still didnt know malarkey, but worked with trident, deus and scourage a little.  two points:
1;  HE isnt even making the game, he doesnt do anything productive for IS, hes there to "leeeaaarrrn"  not to make the game.  coincidentally the last post Zel was allowed to make on the trpg forums was one describing how IS is run and who does what work. i admitted that i didnt do much for the team and explained everyone else's work and habits, and how blitz is not neccessary to keep around.  that and 3 replies about it were deleted then i was banned.
2;  If the person who taught him everything he knows about scripting isnt in the group of "people he knows and respects"  then he should unplug his computer and continue his undoubtedly incest-filled lifestyle. (you know, the only people he knows and respects are those really close to him.

---------------
hrm...
oh, i heard particle was inducted to IS dev team, was that true?  maybe he thought they needed another coder after banning me, funny how there was no team discussion and no community input on dropping a member and adding a new one. (no hard feelings to you, particle, i wouldnt want to be a part of that group anymore anyway)

JI wanted IS to be with the community..

If you are going to be the leader of a DEV team, you should at least know a little about how to do anything that needs to be done.

Zel.. If it wasn't for all of your protesting starts, IS wouldn't have gotten as far as it has.

I guess it is just time to let the dream die.

lol

That picture probably has a very close likeness indeed.  There's something about "Forum Nazi" that just strikes me as funny. hehe

Zel, we all do owe you a lot of thanks for your scripting over the length of TRPG.  I need your fixed chat HUD again, though.  Maybe we can all get together with Trident and develop on his mod, since it would blow the malarkey out of the current IS plan anyway.  Not only that, but Trident isn't a nazi.  We should give our support where it is needed.

Ah, no problem Magus.  I just disabled it and used the regular mail server instead of going through the proxy.  It's a beta, that's the kind of thing I needed to know.

Unfortunately, I already knew it  :-X

Blitz is really going overboard.  For anybody that knows people that are cool but have been banned (like Steef), feel free to give them the link.

Twister, another dev member who was banned has been talking to JI. JI unbanned everyone and told blitzler to keep his nose OUT of general discussion. so we're back, but the skies arent clear of national socialists

fifth page back on Customizations forum:
http://dynamic2.gamespy.com/~rpg/showth ... eadid=2863

oh wait its not there, BLITZLER DISABLED ATTACHMENTS.

i wonder where i have another copy of the file...

okay, found a new one, modified it slightly so it fits nicer and im gonna send it to particle@xfury.net  since this place seems to not have attachments too ;)
