Question
« on: August 12, 2003 05:39 pm CDT »
I have a question concerning Warez.. if I bought Vice City for computer in the past, and now the CD's all scratched up and unplayable. Would it be legal for me to download another copy to PC to play?

Check the license agreement, software seems to differ.  Some let you have a backup copy for such an event, others forbid it.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

Is it me, or do you hear more complaints about Vice City scratches than any other game out there?

YES, it pisses me off.. I buy the game it doesn't even have a hardly visible scratch. You have to put it under a light to see it, and I tried  using one of those CD repair things.. still doesn't work.  >=O

Any used games stores around you? They may have a cd repair machine, much more effective than the scratch removers you can buy... The store I buy my games from uses it on all used dvds and cds...

oh, and have you heard of http://http://www.multitheftauto.com ? It's a multiplayer mod for gta3 and VC
