Fishing in FFXI

I decided to take up fishing tonight. This is my story.

I go to the auction house, I buy a rod and a lure, 1000 gil.
"You cast your line into the water"
"Something bites the hook!"
"Your line breaks"
"You cast your line unto the water"
"Something bites the hook!"
"Your rod breaks"
I go and buy new rod and lures, 1000 gil
"You cast your line unto the water"
"Something bites the hook!"
"Your rod breaks"
"You cast your line unto the water"
"Something bites the hook!"
"You obtain: A lump of Kelp."
I'm never fishing again.

Back in my day you we knew we were lucky to get a lump of Kelp! We cherished it and later on ate it. And whats this fishing rod crap? We had to jump into the water and throttle the life out of the fish!

Folks of course were built tougher in those days...
