Dude, they incorporated bumpmapping into the engine!  Check it out!  (i think it was redmoon2 i was looking at).  I really liked the fireworks as well.

Hmmm, making a mod for T2 is a waste now... get educated in the Unreal engine and start working on trpg3, Tribes 3 Vengence is going to be run on the unreal warfare engine :mrgreen:
