Yes, Super Metroid, even though I was a Sega Genesis Player (the controller was better).

Gotta love SBC with their 6Mbps tier for 45$
(Yes, on their site it only shows 3Mbps, but it is actually 6Mbps, I would know :)).

F-Zero was cool, but I hated the fact that it was only one-player. Top Gear 3000 was the greatest racing game on the SNES. Breath of Fire II was awesome, and both Lufias mopped the floor. Peacekeepers is a great party/friends game. (It sucks one-player.) Killer Instinct was cool when it first came out, but Mortal Kombat 2 was the best fighting game... Super Metroid was great, but it had little replay value (other than seeing how fast you could beat it).

Best SNES game? Either Lufa II or The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

(And don't forget Super Mario World...)

I know it's not SNES, as I never had one.  As for NES:  Zelda (Gold Cartridge) and Super Mario Bros.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

Heh, anyone ever heard of a game called Faxalandu or something like that?  I always played that game on NES, because my parents gave the rest away to one of their friend's kids...

What the heck is wrong with you people?!?

There has been no mention of Contra, TMNT Turtles in time, or Battletoads.. those are the most kickass games ever!

Battletoads blows on consoles.  Its best for arcade, since the arcade Battletoads had better technology (ie: had pseudo 3-d graphics).

Battletoads is so much fun, I have one of the toads as my aim buddy icon.. It's the best when you knock them down and then punt their bodies with your enlarged foot, rofl...

*edit* I remember the big black guy, as the boss on the first level.. he was way scary, I like wet my pants.
