The guy points a gun at the one you love, would you stand infront, and try to stop it and throw your life away in the process? Or would you let them die?

if you truely love them, then all love must eventually come to an end, whether it be tragic or romantic, it ends.  if it must end by a gun, at least take it for the person you love because in the end, love never ends in your own mind and in your own heart, you will always love them and they will always love you.  any guy who wouldn't take it for the person they love just doesn't love that person, its that simple...

but how do u define love...  are we talking romantic love.. or otherwise

u should... specify whom you're talking about... is it your child thats in harms way... or is it a best friend that u love.... you're wife/girlfriend... who?

im guessing your talking about if its you're spouses life thats on the line... if so then ill agree with evil..

lol... and how does this question apply more to guys then.. girls?... thats just dumb

because more often than not, a girl can truely love a guy, but the guy could really give a shit about the girl...

and no ken, i didn't mean in only the case of the spouse, i ment in all cases.  if you truely love the person, you should be more than willing to give your life for them, otherwise your love is as meaningless as an empty soul.

Depends.  If it's somebody I truely love, then maybe.  If it was hopeless and it came down to either the both of us or just the other then maybe not.  Save the memory and move on--a life is a HORRIBLE thing to just throw away like a pack of meat.

Now, if I had body armor on and it was a one shot deal, then maybe.  Now, why I'd be wearing armor around my love is beyond me.

There are many people I would take a bullet for. Most of my friends know that's how I feel about them. If a friend of mine is at a party and cals me up and needs me to come, I will, and have, gone there, picked them up in their car, taken them back to their house, and walked back to my car. If I get in trouble, so be it. My getting in a little trouble with a police officer or with my parents is far better than a loved one of mine wrapping themself around a light pole. That is actually a problem of mine... I tend to put others feelings so far in front of mine that I end up getting myself hurt a lot. But, if others are happy, I feel like there is purpose to my life.

If it's a family member, or significant other then yes I would take a bullet for them.

Depends on what type of friend.. some friends they come and they go, some backstab. But a true friend I would take a bullet for.

Also depends upon the bullet.  If it's like an armor piercing round, then it'd do no good whatsoever.  It would have a moderately high chance of penetrating you and then hitting (and maybe killing) the person you were protecting.  At least make them use two bullets.

Also, like the laupa magnum round--that's got enough velocity to kill two people with the same shot.

If nothing else, I'd hold a tactical shield in front of them, while standing to the side.

I know I sound goofy, but these are serious points to consider.
