Okay. I will finally accept that 70GB is not enough space for todays computer. Time to upgrade. Reccomend some crap for me. And I have no plans to touch RAID anytime soon. 1 HDD. 200<500GB. 7200RPM minimum. ATA100 I think.
-
Already told you. Get a Hitachi T7K250 off of ZZF.
-
Thats the one that runs around $100.. I could get like 2 of those right?
-
i run a 12gb and a 6gb but then again i am complaining a lot
-
I just ordered a 960gb raid5 setup for my file server. Media like tv shows and dreamcast isos can really use up the space fast.
-
You aren't lying. I'm going to replace this 600GB RAID-5 with a 1600GB one soon.
-
i got a 250gb 2 months ago and ive hardly used any of it...
-
o.0 gimme more space
-
I want more HDD's to load more OS's. I dont like running multiple OS's on one HDD.

Sounds like a personal problem.
-
lol...thats too good to pass up
-
lmao.... so do you have like 3 windows xps and 5 mac osx's?
-
ive got XP pro OSx and DSL on this thing...granted i havent touched anythin but xp for a while
-
Why on earth would you touch OSX?
-
meh it was free i didnt care
-
No nolear, I run Ubuntu 6.06 beta on my main disk, XP on the other drive (identical). I want to hop into BSD or SkyOS next, yet dont wish to make it some space on my drives. A personal problem, yes, but thats how I operate.
-
Do you hot swap drives or something?
Get Live OS CD's and an external USB drive. It's a lot cheaper. ('specially the 'nix's)
-
Thats not practical enough for me, slorge. I prefer internal hard drives. Externals and thumbdrives are only for backup for me.
*edid*
And as far as hot swapping goes... uhh... last time I did that the power went out in a portion of my home. Had to reset the breaker.

yeah...I'm afraid to ask my wife about hot swapping, too.
(These are the jokes folks, laugh it up!)
