I bought sinbot.net from Godaddy the other night and today I got an email from them.  Here's what it said.

The registration of SINISTER.SINBOT.NET has FAILED.

The IP you requested for this name server was:

24.253.231.184

Error: (551) Parent domain status does not allow for operation;

Please contact GoDaddy.com for assistance.

WTf?  Anybody know the problem?

I talked to customer service while I was setting the sh!t up.  The guy walked me through it.  If i dont get the d@mn thing workin by wednesday, then I'm going to switch to IIS and have Achromatos set me up with Server 2003.

You expect one of us to be able to answer an error issued by a specific company?

Heh..  looks like even ozzy sometimes forgets this is the Assistance Forum :)  He is right, though..  it's most likely just some sort of problem on GoDaddy's part.

If GoDaddy can't figure out their own damned problems then that should give you a hint to get your money back.
