Paper Ideas

Topic: Political rhetoric is full of "God-Talk" as the Presidential election approaches.  The Iraq War brought some of that into our focus, and we have recently heard language that is about Manifest Destiny, the American Dream, and the spreading of democracy.  Explore some of these issues, identifying the conflicted vision of/for America in relationship to some of the things we are reading and discussing in class.  What is America?  What are people for in America?  Who are we?  What is our national identity?

This post, by its very length, defends itself against the risk of being read.
