Title: Kerbal Space Program
Post by: KoRo on May 28, 2012 05:56 pm CDT
For you nerds looking for a new, easy, simple, fun game to pass the time, check out Kerbal Space Program (http://"http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/"). It's a sandbox game where you're provided with an assortment of parts that you use to construct your own rockets and blast off in to space. IF (and it's a big if) your rocket is solid enough, you should be able to make it in to orbit. And if you're skillful enough, you can make it to the moon (called Mun) and even land on it.

The game is still in development, and the free version is limited. But dropping ~$10 will get you access to the full version and all future updates forever. The newer versions include a hangar to construct space planes and a command station to keep track of your different missions. It's a great way to kill many hours; trying out different design ideas, trying to get to new destinations. Worth checking out if you like to be creative.
