I just have to clear this up... The coin method used to dupe coins has no fix. It will work with any item (at least that you can put in a pack), and there is no code to stop it. The whole basis for the bug is that the guilty parties crash the server so that it does not save the transaction except on the person who received the coins. Hence, it skips the save code on everyone except the one person to #savecharacter. Now, if it skips the save code, then it skips all other code that normally executes as the server runs... AKA, there is not a simple "fix" to this problem.
Options to "fix" the problem include:
(1) Automatic save for a character whenever they #createpack or die to ensure that the items are truly lost from their posession.
(2) Get rid of dust
I am against option #1 because if someone dies and the server happens to crash, they lose everything and never have a chance to regain their items... It would just lead to a lot of discouraged n00bs and complaints in general.
Option #2 on the other hand has been discused and supported by most of the players... I've seen the code, it would merely be adding // or /* */ to about 30 lines of code in a few different files. (Namely, remove characters associated from the map file, remove the items completely.) One alternate method to #2 which may be a good idea is to make dust an admin reward, and put it straight into bank accounts instead of picking it up in packs. This way, you only run the risk of being mugged on your way to the house.
But what do I know? I only did all of this already with the mod I *thought* was going to be post-clear on the server...

I'm also for option 2 because by the time gods are remort 100 they will have so much hp they can tank centurians... by the time centurians aren't high enough level to give capped exp, the god will be so high level that any exp gained from dust means practically nothing compared with the requirements for leveling...

Maybe if you can get your head out of Hobbes' ass long enough to take a look around, you'd realize that no one (especially me) cares about this mod, server, or most off all you.
It looks like you haven't realized certain things about Tribes RPG (if you can call it an RPG), so I'll explain some.
Tribes RPG is no longer a good game. There is nothing to it. Here is what it is like to be a new player on PCRPG:
You walk in, realize that you have hardly any money and only a pickaxe. You figure out how to use global, and as soon as you do, you are handed 500k from Zarteky, Myst, or any other one of these people who think they are "helping".
After 5 minutes you get the hang of the game. You realize how to LVL, add SP, and you even have a full silvertone set (Without the boots of course, because boots are useless.. DUH!)!
Here is where it gets boring. You have to LVL. There are no decent quests anymore, just what the "admins" think a quest is. A "quest" is apparently lining up about 15 EXP packs, and letting the players run over them. And then doing it 2 more times.
(I started a LVL 1 character not too long ago to test out this type of "quest", and after the first "quest" I was LVL 19)
So now you have a bunch of free XP, and probably some SP! And about 450k in your bank account. God, this game isn't so hard, is it? Well, back to LVLing. You go to den, because you're already high enough, with little to no work. How convenient, den is now equipped with an automatic heal bot! I don't even have to be there, I can afk the whole way to LVL 50! Awesome, I just stand behind this bot and get healed every 15 seconds, AFK time baby!
LVL 50 - Great, now for the worst part of RL 1! No, not because it's hard, but because it's boring. Minotaur's Lair until LVL 101. Well, easy enough, I just stand behind this wall the whole time. I can AFK this zone, too! All the way to LVL 101, dying only a few times, but that's ok because I've had to do absolutely no work so far, so what's a few deaths?
And there is supposedly the hardest RL. If the 1st one is the "hardest", imagine how easy every other RL is, and then over, and over, and over. Kind of a repetitive "game", huh?
I don't care about my char, and if I wanted I'd have another one in less than a week. But fork that, this mod is a piece of malarkey

I've come to realize that you are too dense to even realize your own reasons for staying around a "dead" game so long. It's about the people. You apparently get off by making other people miserable, and if that is what you are in to then fine. As for the rest of us, we mainly enjoy the company and friendships we can build through this game. Taurik, SINISTER, Villman, Lucid, Hobbes, HUBBA, GE, etc. are all people I have a great respect for not because they are admins or make bots that make my life easier. I have made friends with people that know in all likelyhood will never meet me in real life, never pass me on the street, never benefit from a freindship with me in any way. They merely play a game because they enjoy the company. I never crashed the server, and I never "hacked" any chars. I used a script that took a whole 1 minute (the time it takes to connect to the server twice) to use.
But before you get all buddy buddy with these people that you claim you play the game for, ask them about crashing the server, duping money, etc.

September 27, 2004 Was when the server was Cleared thats a lil udner 3 months ago.

As for the friends I have that duped coins, get over it. I have never met anyone who beats a dead horse as bad as you do. I'm suprised you don't say something about coin duping in every post, its the first sign of self-control you have ever shown. But the fact of the matter is that the coins were duped for the benefit of bots, which are never played except by scripts. Quit making that a centerpiece of your arguments. Think of some new material to unsavory woman about since unsavory womaning is all you are good for anyways.

Again, nice job of making yourself look like a complete effing idiot. If you get to level 174, the game gets boring. What can you do? Bash fight with people, heal n00bs... Yeah, that's about it (in your case, you could make an ass of yourself). What is the solution? Oh damn, you could *gasps* remort. For the vast majority of people, levels are not what they are after, of course it is a game, and the levels are nice, but how many people are over RL 50 right now? Maybe those people are after the levels, but quit being so dense. Most people will not pass RL 25 or even RL 10. Go talk to KisingFish, ask him how much he cares about levels. I remember KissingFish took 3 weeks to get to level 19 and then he went to fight "Ubers" in Yolanda. Then the server gets cleared. Do you see him at RL 60+? Take a look around, there are so few people past RL 50, let them care about levels, the rest of us are content with a few hours of fun a day, we don't let a game consume our being.

Where did you get RL 50 from? And obviously there aren't many people over RL 50, it's only been 3 months since the clear.
