Title: Windows 7 and Tribes
Post by: Arf on February 24, 2011 09:27 pm CST
I was thinking about upgrading to Windows 7 and wanted to know if anyone had already done it and what problems you might have encountered with Tribes.

I dont like change but i think this one will be necessary as all the pc world makes those older opsys's obsolete.

Thanks in advance...

I run Tribes perfectly fine with the Vista patch in Windows 7, but I've heard of people not being able to run it at all even with the patch. Upgrade at your own risk. :]

Thanks for the info. I dont think I am having a windows 7 problem as much as it is a 64 bit problem.  Anyone got any ideas?

I play on Windows 7 64 bit. Didn't even have to get a patch or anything - it loads perfectly fine!

well interesting.  I have tried to install it and the updates and the PCRPG updater and all the other programs anbd enhancements just like i did on all of my other pc's and laptops and this time NONE of it work because i get the message that the program(s) is(are) not compatible.

guess i wont use this new laptop.

i forget what i did to get mine to run... i remember it ran at first but there was discoloration...  if you fork with the compatibility settings in conjunction with the vista patch i think you can get it to work
