Computer question.

My dad's being a real dick-head lately.. I had just sat down to check the forums/get on aim and he tried kicking me off the computer so that he could play one of my games that I spent $30 on. I told him I had just gotten on the computer and I didn't want to get off. Then we get into an arguement with each other. It ends up we're yelling at each other, and I shut down the computer and go up to my room. Well, he password protects the computer at start-up. Does anyone out there know of any way to get around this?

Also, I'm on a LAN.. is there anything I could do from this computer to the one I'm trying to get on?

Theres a way to pass it while its booting up i think its F1 to go to the menu and then go to security and disable the start up password then your in

Open the case and look for the clear CMOS jumper.  Clear CMOS according to your manual and there will be no more boot-up password.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

I always do this, I introduce somthing new to sombody and  it always ends in a fight. For instance I'll make my brother try a new food/toy/game, he ends up liking it and hogging it all for himself.

And then I try introducing my dad into RPG gaming and he goes psycho on me.

He's the one who decided to have a kid, whether he's  a spoiled malarkey.. or the most humblest child ever to be.

The fact is, he never uses the computer, but decides to get on it as soon as I sit down.

Yes, he provides for me.. but he doesn't have to be a jerk about it and kick me off the computer so he can play one of my games that I bought.

What about your parents? They provide for you but yet you 'hate' them.

I was watching my brother and sister for christ-sake, while him and my mom where at a concert having fun. Then the moment he gets back he kicks me off the computer and password protects it.

I only argue with my dad when I know I'm right. It's not like I'm trying to be some rebellious brat.
