Yea it affected my city.  I lost power from like 4:30 PM to like 11:00 PM.. so not so bad for me. It also affected like Toronto, Rhode Island, New York City, and a lot of other places.

That's why everybody should have two car batteries hooked up to a UPS like I do.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

I wouldn't doubt you doing something like that, but I would like to see it.

This is the often overloaded 1250va model of a SmartUPS by APC:

The batteries take up the entire size of these boxes (in cardboard for safety):

Notice the wires coming out of the corner of the box--if you need proof.  The APC is on, but the flash overpowered the LED's.

Yeah I just heard about it on ABC news channel.  Its crayze there.  Luckily they get their power on within 48 hours (they said).

Anybody know why this happened?  It wasnt because of that virus, they said...

A power grid in Canada overloaded or something.

1) Dont blame Canada, IM FROM CANADA.

A Lightning bolt could do that..

However, there was no storms in the area.. No possible way for lightning to strike..

It is a cover up.
