It is not capable of firing unless something passes through remotesay with a /n or /t.  Pecker or UG will unjail you.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

It will also jail you sometimes if you are using a string or script to say something..

Or spamming too much.

It has to be this way for it to be effective.

I might let it slide (or limit) the breaks for sigs, but that'd be about the extent of it.  I know that a single break in the chat will crash the server, though (I've done it twice in testing on the real server, and many more on my own private server).

I can't say I'd know why.  All I know is that it did.

hmm... this is strange... line breaks have been disabled in the new version of renegades for tribes 1 as well... claiming it crashes servers.

Perhaps it is for the host only which crashes the whole server?  I don't know...  I just know not being able to put a - in anything on ren6 I say can be quite frustrating... not that I've even played in 4 months! ;-)

What it would do is fark the server, causing everybody to either time out or crash to desktop.
