Goofy Ad-Aware
« on: December 23, 2003 01:49 am CST »
Ad-aware detected some simple tribes functions in one of my tribes edited rpg files "merchants.txt" to be an ad-aware file! hillarious! :-p I wrote the damn code myself... how it could be ad-aware is beyond me!

Well, perhaps its the fact that its a script (yeah...) and perhaps "merchants" is drawing attention to it.

Good eye.  I just ran did a performance fix on my cousin's computer this morning, ran ad aware and deleted 650+ adware, malware, dataminers, etc off his.  Hell, not my computer.  I'm not gonna check.

Kazaa has built-in adware.  http://www.kazaalite.tk

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

Yeah, well, uh, you should put forth some extra effort and find you a copy of kazaa lite (its alot harder now, not gonna go into it).  Kazaa  lite is faster, doesnt put forth adware, and blocks the RIAA.

$0.99 a song isn't bad.. I wonder if it is still P2P though. Hmm.. That would make a lot of unsatisfied customers. Not to mention you wouldn't be able to find the oddities.

Damn the Republican Insomniac Arrogant Asshats!
