Use a plasma cutter.  Doesn't every house have one or two?  Mine does.

This one is just like the one I use:

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

Here's the Gateway 2000 '97 mod I did a few weeks ago:

CD-RW under the removable panel.

No need to hide all the wires yet because airflow would not be affected.

You can see where I had to dremel a little bit to fit the power supply and some ports for the motherboard.  We were using a drill and pliars before the dremel, so it caused the metal to become warped before we found the dremel and used that.

I want to learn how to make LED's (shouldnt be tooooo hard, 2 wires lol) so I can jazz it up a little more.

Go buy a $40 Soldering Iron, a spoll of thin rosin wire, a few leds, and some wire, and you can give your computer christmas lights.

Just make sure you have a resistor between the led and power supply. Or they'll burn out in a few hours. (The package the led comes in will tell you the voltage.)
You could also get a crimper and solder all the led wires into 2 (+ and -) near the end, Then crimp it and shove them into a molex you can steal of a spare fan. Then plug it into the Motherboards SysMsg LED or StandBy LED. That will be enough to power them, and you wont need a reisistor.

I plan on just using the motherboard's HDD and powerON points til I become more experienced in my mods.

Already have all the nessessary things except LED's and resistors.

Buy resistors in bundles, not singles, every now and then you'll find one does nothing. Or you'll lose one. (I find them on my desk all the time)

Koro, you are a really dense guy.  There are several ways to define plasma.  Heres one example, a plasma orb:
