Hey folks,
Come onto Tribes: Vengeance, you wont regret it - try it out! (thats for those of you that are avoiding it because of word-of-mouth)
Anyways, I'm really enjoying the intense combat and the unique feel of T:V. It relates to Tribes I in many ways, yet in a lot of ways it can pass as its own game. T:V can be as twitchy as Quake and UT as you want it to be, but its also laid back for those who want it to run at a slower pace. (Its not as fast-paced as say rocket arena/rail arenas in Quake II but, arent we past that frag-fest style of play? Tribes is known for its elegance and high-learning curve and its own unique twist on agile game play)
As Matanza said, the H.O seems fine - it will just take more understanding of the anti-heavy weapons to stop them - and some additional tactics. Game play will change over-time as more people become accustomed to the new environment and tactics.
Buckler is proving to be great; I wish you could use your energy blade with the shield on, that would be kind of neat. Energy blade is fun for those stylish kills; "Humiliation" rings a bell whenever I manage one. Bit of nostalgia with the melee weapons of FPS games in the past: gauntlet, impact hammer, chainsaw, knife. Heh, get those folks on the inventory, never know what hit 'em.
Well, off to punch in some more time on T:V
