Uberclockers.com Folding@home update
« on: December 9, 2004 07:56 pm CST »
We need more folders for the team!  This is a team composed of Particle, eViL, Jonah, myself, and a few others I have no clue of.  It seems all progress has stopped for all users except myself.

Folding@Home is a program that recieves information from Stanford University and processes this information (it folds protein cells and checks for abnormalities) while your computer is idle.  This is really a good cause, as it helps researchers find cures for diseases faster.

Many computer, gaming, and overclocking communities have folding@home teams (see for yourself: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=fo ... gle+Search )
And Team Uberclockers.com F@H team would love to have you on board.

If interested, visit here and download the free software: http://vspx27.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main ... mnum=39013
I currently have 4-5 computers running the program nearly 24/7

I don't run folding at the moment after they said I could GFM when I inquired about controlling my own domain's team.  All members of the Stanford folding project (creators) can go fork themselves.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.
