Ignore it.  It's on.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

Does the software work correctly?
No, it doesn't work correctly. The video quality is low and its about 1 second behind the audio. believe me, if it worked fine, i wouldnt have gone through all of this.

The ss you posted show only one channel of each controller. Is that the only sata drive you have?  From what I see you have one sata and one ide drive.

Correct. 1 sata and 1 ide. total of 290GB theoretical.

Unless you get a real capture card, you'll never fully get rid of sync issues.

:? My old AIW 7500 did better than this...

Okay, well, I guess it works fine as it is...it does seem a little better. Also, I just recently read the fine print on the ATI website. "This message may not always reflect the actual status of your computer. Your TV card make work fine, despite the message."

Alright, I guess I'll consider this problem over and done with. Now there's something else that's warrenting my concern. It has to do with the DVD player.

The Multimedia Center installation that comes with the Catalyst CD that came with my tv card will not install the DVD player, stating that "There are no DVD decoders detected." With a little creative thought, and old installation CD's from my previous AIW 7500, I was able to get the DVD player working. Unfortunately, that installation doesnt come with a TV, so now im wondering where and how I can get the decoders off of the old cd and make my new CD detect them so it will install the DVD player....

long..i know..sorry..

There are some freeware dvd software players that will give you decoders and everything.  You didnt need to revert back to the old 7500 stuff.

If the recording audio sync is off, why not just open up the file in a video editor after recording and move the sound a second or so forward or backward.  That may fix your problem.

I know all too well his situation.  The audio doesn't have a linear delay.  If you sync it at one point, it won't be at another.  Life sucks, then we get Theater 550 Pro based cards with pure digital processing and a hardware MPEG-2 interleaved A/V stream that has no sync problem.
