Starfox 64
« on: May 23, 2006 01:51 am CDT »
Possibly one of the best 64 games out there, though the real reason of this thread is to see if anyone would happen to know where I could get the music for the game (Ive looked over the Inet, and all I can find is crap for Starfox Assault)

I know the sound quality was bad, but the arrangements are great. Any information at all would be great. Thanks!

(PS. Making 4 channel ringtones out of these songs lol)

Starfox 64 was easy... but hard to beat becaus eyou thumbs got tired by the end of the second to last level.

Also... I remember having deathmatches that would last for HOURS because we became so good at dodging everything.

ARR!!!

I think the game is a pain. Getting medals on every level to unlock expert mode, and then getting medals on every level again in expert mode, just to unlock the Landmaster and on foot in vs mode...ugh

You might be able to extract the music straight from the rom if you have it.  I know you could do this with roms from other systems.

I extracted the music from the Xband rom awhile ago.  Man, that music is great.  Was listening to it on my ipod on the way home last night.

Hahahaha talk about timing.
For the last week or so I've been working hard to get medals on all the levels, and I finally did it tonight (finished up with 306 kills in Area 6) and it not only unlocked expert mode, but it also unlocked the soundtrack. There are around 40 songs o.O

Found a sound ripper for n64 roms.  If I find time I will see if it actually works.

The ripper didnt work for the rom I had.  I did find this url:

http://http://hcs.freeshell.org/usfold.html

It has the sounds from StarFox 64 plus some other n64 games. You need that 64th note winamp plugin to listen to them.  Find another plugin that lets you record what you are playing to a wav file then do whatever you want with it.
