If it makes you feel any better, I'm not going to do it.  I did speak with tech support, and they said the fact that the ethernet port was reason enough for me to make a return.  But, instead I have decided to just buy a wifi card instead, and not go through with the hassle of losing my laptop for a couple of days.

Anyway, if I did, I could have actually gotten a whole new free batterry in the process probably.  Man, that would be great to just swap out batteries when I run out of juice.

Oh yeah, one more thing.  My parents bought me the special damage warranty, so really I guess it would be mmkay.

There is an old article in PC Gaming world where they threw laptops down a flight of stairs to see which one would survive.  It ended up that the toshiba (how interesting, they look weak) was the only survivor.  And also, half the laptops they destroyed they were able to get replaced because of the warranty.
