I don't want you guys to jerk my ego, but I thought it'd be cool to tell you guys that my debate partner and I are making a game as an experiment with Python. He's doing most of the programming and I'm doing the web design, game design, and project coordination. We also recruited another artist friend of ours to do the art work and a musician friend to do the music.
http://glyphdev.blogspot.comWe're doing it in classic Zelda like 2D because we want older computers to play it. Initially it was going to be a browser based MMO, and started on my birthday when we were arguing why Runescape sucks. A lot of it started as a parody of Runescape, which is why the current name for it is Glyph.
Tell me what you guys think and what you'd think would be good features to have.
At best, we hope to add this to my friend's portfolio since he wants to be a game programmer. We don't really expect this to take off, but we're planning for it just in case. Mostly, it's for fun.
