I bought the Geforce3 ti500 right when it came out, so it was the most powerful consumer card out there for quite a while.  Im still happy with it.

Oh, and Radeon Mobile 7500 laptop...  32mb.

If you bought that card right when it came out, then you are a "pro-sumer" that you keep talking about...

Gotta love SBC with their 6Mbps tier for 45$
(Yes, on their site it only shows 3Mbps, but it is actually 6Mbps, I would know :)).

Heh, yeah, that was a pro-sumer card, Jason, since it was the best that a consumer could get at the time.

I got it off of techtv when Sumi Das of Fresh Gear reviewed this digital camera that was one of the best that the consumer could get (around $1200).  A professional camera would cost much more.

Same with video cards.  A professional video card can cost much more than the average consumer is willing to pay (Im talking bout those you see in PC magazines for 1000's of dollars) whereas the Geforce3 ti500 was around 400-500$ when it first came out.

Pro-Sumer.

I remember you called me a "pro-sumer" for buying an ATi Radeon 9700 Pro for 300$(100$ instant store rebate, December 30th)...

Well, hell, you should feel like one now.  You are a "pro".  If it makes you happy, I am purchasing a 9500 from directron.com for the next pc I build.  If you know of a site I can get one cheaper, let me know, please.

Tigerdirect and directron have some great prices.

Im gonna get a cool case with 350w ps, its gonna have a window, and im gonna put in dual bubble cool cathode light in.  256mb ddr Premium brand (hey, its cheap), and a mobo w/cpu bundle (forgot mobo brand).  I cant wait to see that thing glowing in the corner of my room.  *shivers*
