Question with XP
« on: August 11, 2003 12:03 am CDT »
Ok, I'm new to XP so gimme a break.. I accidentally downloaded a file that had some spyware packaged in it, and it totally rearanged my desktop, changed my wallpaper to a active desktop with all kinds of pop-ups and malarkey.. Anyways,  I got rid of it, but it changed my desktop icon's title to grey. What I want to know is how to change my icon's title-bar back to transparent to blend in with my desktop's wallpaper.

Im not that familiar with XP, but if this provides any help:

Right click your desktop, click properties--go to appearance and look for "desktop" in the drop down menu (it should already be selected) and then pick the color you want (I guess you would pick transparent, I can't use transparent in windows 98).

See look at this malarkey, I even went into msconfig and selected the option so that only the basic drivers would load at start-up. But yet, the nazi spyware lives on.

I hate you Intelligent Desktop, go to hell!

The white arrows are what I've been talking about, I wanna know how to make my icon titles transparent again.

Ok, I figured it out.. it was nothing more than an active desktop, internet plug-in.

And I got the icons working.
