Something everyone should use
« on: November 30, 2003 02:38 am CST »
This is a list of computer programs that everyone should run to clean up there computer.
1.SpySweeper
http://www.webroot.com/download/trial/1/ssfsetup1.exe
2.Adaware
http://ultravision.tucows.com/files2/aaw6.exe
3.RegSupreme
http://www.macecraft.com/downloads/RegSupreme_setup.exe
4.AVG (Anti-Virus Guard)
http://www.grisoft.com/softw/60/fe/avg6544fu_free.exe
AVG Catches stuff that Norton/Mcafee and other do not and its free
5.CWShredder
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/junk/CWShredder.exe
You could do spybotSD  but i personally don't like it.
Again everyone should run these programs on their computers.

hmm...

I'm not being a jerk in asking this, but are you actually a Particles RPG player or a Tribes RPG enthusiast... or did you just decide to drop by and tell us some stuff that you might think you'll get paid for?  (the last one is a mix of humor and reality.... see.... there are companies who would have you prop their wares and promise cash for link references... but every person I know who has done this has gotten no more than a few dollars.  Of course, on the joking side... well that explains itself.)

Anyhow........
Hope you decide to play some PCRPG some time.
Peace!

*edited to add*

I just re-read that and it sounds a bit on the jerky side.  Sorry for that.  I am not assuming any thing about you... but I just have not been in PCRPG in quite a while (comming up on 9 months soon) so I don't recognise you.  Peace.

Naw Lidge, I know Efgt. He plays on Avalon, but like most older people of Avalon, probably Time of Old now. Hey Efgt, what's new?

Ok. Cool. :-)

I know that there have been people farklempting about and leaving spam-links to "cleaner" programs that turn out to be evil.  Haven't seen one in all most a year though. :-p

Well that's damn cool of ya!  I used to share your views but I have not really been up on the technical stuff in the last few years so I am not of much help these days. :-p  I decided I would dictate all that I can offer to my website in the form of common computer help some time in the future... but wether I remember it all or even put it up is to be seen (or unseen!)

Peace.

(ps... I played on Avalon for about 2 months as Alcoholic007-TTC but the lag murdered my mage and I moved on to UB&G.)

All of those programs are very handy indeed, but really you only need AVG antivirus and Adaware, in my opinion.

I use 3 different programes to find Spyware and ad-ware. Each one finds different kinds of files. Norton is one of the worst at finding scripts. Used to be the best.
