i gave my copy to my brother when i moved country, but i wouldn't buy another copy or download it for free.

Tribes never had 1000 people on at once..  it had like 1300+ servers at it's prime, but 60% or more of those servers were empty..  and another 10-15% had 1 person in them.

It might have had 1000 people on at once like once or twice, on rare occasions, but it was never regularly up that high.

Unless Vivandi specifically says it is freeware, it is still illegal unless it is from the places that are allowed.

I think if you pay the S+H to Vivandi and return your tribes CD with $10 US they will give you a new tribes cd.  Sierra used to do that, i'm not sure if Vivandi do it. They should.

When I bought BG2, my Disc2 was corrupt.. I sent them the game with proof of purchase and they sent me a brand new set with a unreleased demo at the time of NWN.

Reading about you playing an unreleased demo before it came out reminded me of the time my brothers friend in blockbuster movie's gave me a Sega DreamCast with Sonic Adventures 3 days before it was released, They guy told me if they were caught blockbuster would have been fined MILLIONS!

Get bittorrent, tons of people want T2 right now so if you can spare the bandwidth to upload for a couple hours, you will have it.

It's illegal to download if off BT, you must only download it from where they let you.

I think the best way Vivandi could promote T:V would be to burn all the Tribes 2 disks and shut down all the servers, and deny tribes 2 ever exsisted lol.
