1) Delete them anyway!
2) Dues had some things you could do if you time out when connecting frequently. I need a link to his site though. It's a geocities site with kris in the URL I think.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years. Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

I had a friend who used to have a better PC than me, so I used it instead of my own (He had a 1 ghz w/ 128 ram and 32 mb vid card). Unfortunately, it was filled to the gills with MP3's which he thought he always needed, even though he only listenedn to less than 5% of them. So I snuck on and burned them all to disk using MP3 cd technolegy, which lets u burn a few hundred songs to a disk. Then I deleted the 10 GB's of MP3's, which pissed him off a little bit, but all his songs are on a disk whenever he wants to listen to them
.
Now he can play counter strike again.

Having a lot of files doesn't slow down a computer contrary to popular belief. My system is tote'n > 200GB of files on it right now. It's the amount of programs installed (registry) and % fragmentation. That can kill swap performance. Of course, you should have a partition setup just for swap in the first place.

Yes, but when you get down to 145 MB disk space, your comp tends to run REAL slow when you run on virtual memory.
EDIT-- Im going to change the size of my portrait soon so my posts dont take up so much space.
