Java is a program language.
JavaScript is a scripted language.

Java is capable of making actual stand alone apps.
JavaScript requires some kind of application to be run through, such as a web browser.

Thanks for lettin' me know the RO secret... after I posted I though "god damnit, I hope I don't get a smart ass 'Reverse Osmosis' type answer"

Exactly my point Lidge.

Java is actually a really easy version of C++ except for one thing.

IT IS SLOW, AND BY SLOW I MEAN REALLY FING SLOW!!!!

Even with the best compiler, it doesn't even come close to the speed of C++.
