Hmm...

I have not fired that thing up in over 3 years... and I cannot stand the lack of mouse inversion, so I don't use it ever.  Sorry bub.

I think you could probably figure it out though. :-)

Tips:
-save often
-follow the pcrpg.org giude to set up the editor first
-draw a map on a real piece of paper first.

What happend to the Middle Earth mod someone was making? Guess it never came through...May want ask around about it, they may have done some of your work for you. Although I can't remember who was making it, I know someone was. (Probably a few people.)

This post, by its very length, defends itself against the risk of being read.

hmm...

Well I think you will have a lot of fun, frustration at first, but a ton of fun, in the end, if you take the middle earth drawings from the orriginal books and put them to some inventive use of your own.
:-)

It's just pretty hard to find a person who is willing to stick to the in game editor for more than a few minutes before going insane.
;-)

Your best shot at this point may be to just learn to use it on your own.  I know I have tried.... and despite the ability I have to use the eidtor, the frustration of me toiling with the non-inverted mouse for more than a few hours makes me cringe.  Maybe if you can find a way to invert the x axis (look up/down) I would give it an other shot.

Peace.

I wish I had an ok computer. I have a 500Mhz and when I run the editor it lags my computer up really bad. This is only with RPG Mod, on regular old BaseTribes it works fine. It usually crashes after a few minutes attempting to map. I'm a decent mapper, I know all about making maps, and editor usage. If I had a better computer I'd be happy to help.

A while ago I planned on that sort of thing, then I reallized
my craputer couldn't handle TRPG Mapping.

No offense, but mixing code from multiple people is what made TRPG as buggy as it is.

Mapping isn't all that hard to learn.

It is actually much easier than coding.

Asking someone to completely make a world that would satisfy your imagination without you drawing it out is pointless.

Yes.  The one thing the RPG mod could use is completely re-written.

Yes.  No picture = hard to make.

I've mapped a lot before for Annihilation Mod, and I've mapped a lot with a player named Gohan (PB and Annih players might know him)

I'm too lazy to actually map something out like that for you, but if you want to learn, i can help you with it and I'd be glad to help you with coding for tele's, territories, etc. My AIM is scrkxaz.... feel free to IM me

Any mapper knows that you use a fresh install of tribes for your mapping, not your modded version with scripts.
